When I first heard about the boho and coastal combination, I was confused. I could not imagine these two styles mixed together. But as soon as I looked up different styles and mood boards, I was in love.

Now, what exactly is a boho-inspired coastal living room?
It is a space that has coastal elements: blue colors that represent the water, and brown accents that stand for the sand. Other than a pure coastal look, which has a delicate feel to it, the boho aspect adds more texture, patterns, colors, and eventually a bit of roughness to the interior.
How to easily build a coastal boho living room
1. Start with the right couch - a white, creme or light blue dominant piece can already make an impact in the right direction. I found this couch on amazon, the sofa is very simple but the creme color reminds me of the beach, and the roughness gives it the perfect boho flair.
2. The Rug - I have a jute rug in my living. The natural look of jute reinsures the coastal interior. Moreover, a jute carpet does not only look like sand but also feels like sand when walking on it barefoot. I found a similar rug to what I have at home here: Jute rug.
3. Throw pillows- I think throw pillows are the easiest decor to give a room a personal touch. I found these very pretty coastal pillows on Amazon: Throw pillows (I think three pillows create a cozy and inviting mood for your seating area)
4. Art- choosing wall art is very important in order to round up the room. The right piece will determine whether the room gives you the coastal feel or not. I think that the art I choose on amazon is a perfect example as it adds some texture and patterns to the room- let's not forget that we want the look to be boho inspired. Patterned Wall Art
